Everything has a home or....

You are feeling overwhelmed with the paper around you. What to do? Where to start?

In making space work for you, start at the top. Whatever is on your desk, for example, take hold of that first piece of paper, whether it's a magazine, letter, junk mail envelope, book. Now pick it up. You've touched it. Here's the time to do something with it other than put it back where you found it or place it somewhere else. You have it in your hand. Look at it and make a decision. Is it something you need to keep? What about filing it if that works for you? Are you ready to let it go? Then where does it go? Yes, clearing space is about decisions and that's your beginning. Go for it. You'll feel better when you've decided what to do with just one item. You will.
