We all feel like this sometimes...but we must take care of our own even when we don't feel like it.

It can be just after a nap or first thing in the morning before we have had our coffee or tea. It's a feeling of "uh oh" the day is ahead and I don't know if I can manage it.

Dogs often telescope our own emotions sometimes before we are even aware of what's going on our head.

Yet we have the advantage of their devotion and love no matter what. We often don't bestow that privilege upon ourselves to keep our pets safe especially now when we are at home a lot more frequently.

Stuff on the floor is viewed by our pets, most often our dogs, as their property and as such able to be played with, eaten, chewed, hidden.

This is the moment when we must set aside our usual habits of leaving things around and get busy putting away those items that might harm our sweet companions.

(The same can be applied to our little ones who also see anything on the floor as fair game.)

So...start small. Pick up those pieces of yesterday (the cracker box, the socks, the fallen fork from dinner, the chicken bone) and find a home for them. You will feel better and so will your beloveds.
